" I live in the beautiful city of Perth in Western Australia. It is the city featured in my videoclip for the songs Mish Momkin and Yalla where we filmed near the seaside n Perth (Cottesloe Beach)"

How many video clips do you have and how can we see them ? - Amira S., Kuwait
" I have Two(2) Videoclips....for the songs 'Yalla' and 'Mish Momkin', I don't know how you can see them but I will
try to get them made available through this web site in the future. The Egyptian Satellite TV has them both so give them a call and they will be able to tell you when they are being aired."

How did you learn to sing in Arabic, being Australian. I know from an interview I saw that you are Australian,?- T. Atia, Sweden
"Enough to say that I was lucky to have "had the chance to fall in love with the music and culture of the Middle East and the opportunity arose that made Arabic music an option I could take.
In fact my background is Australian but my parents are of German and Italian heritage so Arabic was an influence that came straight from my wife and her family's side."


I have heard that you wrote a song for an Arabic Movie...is this true ? - M. Al Hany, Australia
" Yes it is true.... I was once asked to write the Title Track to a film that was billed as Australia's first Arabic Feature Movie - 'Aasef Habebti'. The song I wrote and performed is in English, so it is called 'Sorry my Love' and it was released as a single as part of the movie promotion.
This song will also be on the album we are currently working on for release in 2009."

" Not I don't personally Claudine but I am married to an Egyptian so I guess that qualifies as background.
I have lived among the Arabic people in my home town of Perth for many years now and certainly when I travel through Egypt or Lebanon or the other areas of the Middle East I really do feel at home."

" Sure, with many wonderful artists...and it is always a rewarding experience. Only in Australia. I always enjoyed performing in some of the great festivals in the Middle East."

"In the Western scene I like many styles, from Elvis to Michael Jackson- different styles. In Arabic music there are many, Amr Diab, Mustapha Amr, Walid Tawfiq and of course the classics from Om Kalthoum to Abdel Haleem Hafez, Farid El Atrache and Mohammed Abdel Wahab., I also have many friends whose work I enjoy like Mayez Al Bayaa, Alah Zalzaly and many Lebanese artists."

" That's easy...I love the Middle East. On my visits there I enjoy everything from the atmosphere to the food and most of all the people....easily the most friendly and hospitable people on earth."

"I like to play sport....mainly soccer, squash(raquetball) and tennis but also a little basketball. My main love is music though. I play guitar and keyboard and it is always satisfying to create new music"

How did you come to sing in Arabic ? - M Attalla, UK
"Good question...it is a long story but briefly I was performing at an Arabic function as the special guest one night and someone from the community asked if I would perform an Arabic song at the next function they had...I accepted the challenge and learned the song 'Mayal' by Amr Diab....when I sang it the Arabic audience was amazed and so began the journey."
